Here are some places I like to frequent whether it's date night or catching up with a friend.
Affordable yet decent food and drinks, I recommend trying torch pressed sushi at Saku Sushi.
478 Queen St W, Toronto, ON, M5V 2B2
High quality sushi at high prices, but a must-try at JaBistro.
222 Richmond St W, Toronto, ON, M5V 1V6
Best udon in the city tbh at Raku.
456 Queen St W, Toronto, ON, M5V 2A8
Great for both lunch and dinner, it's priced well and there are so many options for katsu at Katsuya.
Hint: There are locations all over the city.
4447 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON, M1S 1V3
If you live uptown and are craving skewers, I like Chat Bar.
633 Silver Star Blvd #115, Scarborough, ON, M1V 5N1
In the mood for Thai, then head to Pai.
18 Duncan St, Toronto, ON, M5H 3G8
Creating your own pizza can be pretty fun at Blaze Pizza.
150 John St, Toronto, ON, M5V 3C3
Tip: you can make half of one kind and half of another.

The comfort food and couches give you a cozy feeling at Insomnia.
563 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, M5S 1Y6
If oysters are your thing, you'd enjoy the variety at John & Sons Oyster House.
56 Temperance St, Toronto, ON, M5H 3V5
Only open for dinner and pricey Italian food, but lovely food at an upscale atmosphere at ARDO Restaurant.
243 King St E, Toronto, ON, M5A 1J9
Same concept at Buca Osteria & Bar.
Note: It was hard to find the entrance but it's on the Yorkville Avenue side.
53 Scollard Street, Toronto, ON, M5R 0A1
Expensive, but a guaranteed experience at Bymark Restaurant.
66 Wellington St W, Toronto, ON, M5K 1M6
