My Hair Secrets
Updated: Nov 26, 2020
Learning how to maintain healthy long hair is an ongoing challenge. My hair type is dry, which means split ends.
Preferably, I'd do a monthly hair oil treatment at a salon, my favourite being Art Inn Runway, but with the Covid19 situation, not possible.

I've put together a routine for myself that reduces hair loss, cuts down on frizz and makes me feel like I got my hair done at a salon even though I'm just in the comfort of my own home.
I start off with The Body Shop Coconut Oil Pre-shampoo Hair Oil prior to shampoo for a few minutes. Mostly the bottom tips of my hair.
Next, I use Fanola No Orange Shampoo, as recommended by my hairstylist. It apparently helps to reduce the "orange" tone that hair dye can fade into, since I dyed my hair dark ash brown a few months ago.
I mix in Garnier Fructis Sleek Shot with the shampoo. If I use this product, I skip the hair mask. If I would prefer to do a hair mask, I skip this step.
The next step is Garnier Fructis 1 Minute Hair Mask, which I leave on for about a minute.
And I finish off with a conditioner, one I like is L'oreal Total Repair 5 Daily Conditioner, but as long as it has colour protection I'm good.
When I blowdry my hair, I use Moroccan Oil Blow Dry Concentrate on my damp hair.
Afterwards, I apply IGK Crybaby Anti-Frizz Smoothing Serum by running my fingers through my hair with a focus on the bottom tips. An alternative is Ogx Replenishing + Water Balm Leave-in Moisturizer.
If you're a fan of sleep masks like me, before you hit the hay you can apply the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Night Cap Overnight Perfector.
For hairbrushes, I like the Wet Brush Shower Flex Detangle.
