Travel Itinerary to Belwood Lake Conservation Area

Updated: Oct 27, 2020

Lake Belwood is close to the towns of Elora and Fergus, which are quite nice to take a stroll around to visit local shops and chill at a cafe. You could make this a day trip, but I stayed a few days in the summer.

Waking up to a view like this.

8282 Wellington County Rd 18, Fergus, ON, N1M 2W5

Go kayaking.

Hint: check to make sure the water level isn't too low.

Walk along the lake.

Go for a dip.

We opted for the outdoor pool at the cottage since we were glampers, but swimming at the lake is a popular activity. That way you can avoid scooping out bugs at the side of the pool now and then.

Hint: don't forget the sunscreen. You don't want to spend the rest of your trip agonizing over a sunburn.

Chill at the hot tub.

Our cottage came with this and I suppose this is what adults do for fun.

Pro-tip: I learned it takes a day to heat up to the desired temperature so make sure you connect with your host that this will be ready for you when you arrive.

BBQ for lunch or dinner.

Roast marshmallows in the fire pit.

So that you can make s'mores, duh.
